Talk about a hidden gem. Green on Earth is tucked gingerly away from the human race on top of a hill opposite Phoenix LRT station, wrapped in colours of green, green and more green. While passers-by may miss its existence on the outside, the interior of the restaurant is modern and clean, waiting to be occupied by hearty eaters.

Be prepared to roll with the punches of ma and la with the Mala Xiang Guo here. Rumour has it that a bowl of mala here will steal your heart (and all feeling in your tongue), despite leaving out garlic and onion in the equation. While Mala is undoubtedly the earmark of the restaurant, leave some stomach space for other ambrosial dishes such as the Fried Mushrooms and Cereal Cauliflower!

Green On Earth is definitely worth a visit even if you’re a dedicated meat-lover!
