Straits Chinese Restaurant by Guan Hoe Soon (1953) is the oldest Nyonya Restaurant in Singapore. Today, its kitchens are still using secret recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation. To preserve the original flavours of Authentic Peranakan cuisine, only the freshest ingredients and a select choice of spices are used. Traditional menu favourites include Otah, Assam Fish and Buah Keluak - this dish is mixed with pork and prawns for a flavour boost! For something unique, the Bakwan Kepiting Soup featuring meatballs made from minced pork and crab meat is a must try!
