Raffles Place Guide: 10 Chill Eateries and Upscale Restaurants to Dine at

Think of Raffles Place and you’ll think of skyscrapers and people slowly returning to work physically at the offices. The CBD area is coming back alive and so are the F&B restaurants in the vicinity.

So if you want an affordable dining option to stay healthy or a fancy restaurant for business meetings to impress your clients, here are some places I’ve rounded up at Raffles Place for you to dine at.

1. Zafferano

    Source: Zafferano

When I took the lift to the 43rd floor to visit Zafferano for the first time, I was awed by the magnificent view of the Singapore skyline. The staff were warm and friendly, and there was a vibe of relaxed efficiency as the dishes came out of the kitchen, plated as beautifully as they tasted.

Zafferano is upscale yet inviting, making it perfect for business meetings or that special occasion you want to celebrate. Conveniently located just a few minutes walk away from Raffles Place MRT station, Zafferano sets itself apart with their handcrafted pasta and hot off the pan main courses.

Their Executive Set Lunch is a fantastic option. Choose between pumpkin soup or heirloom tomatoes for starters and spaghetti and Mediterranean seabass for mains. Top up $10 to end off your meal with a tangy wild berries parfait, ice cream or sorbet.

     8. Dumpling Darlings

    Source: Dumpling Darlings

Ever since Dumpling Darlings opened, they have consistently gotten rave reviews because of their amazing service and fabulous food.

What I like most about their concept is that their dumplings cater to different dietary preferences. Vegetarians can go for the Impossible plant-based Momo Curry, or Veggie Mandu, a spicy Korean inspired dumpling with garlic aioli, spinach, tofu and shitake. Meat lovers can choose from Smoked Duck, Prawn & Crab and Spicy Sichuan.

The most unique flavour must be the Dessert Dumpling, which is filled with amaretto, cream cheese, vanilla beans, poached pears and served with Tasmanian ice cream.
