1. Charcoal Thai


If you’re looking for a hot, sizzling experience this Father’s Day, treat Daddy to a meal at Charcoal Thai! 2. Irodori Japanese Restaurant

Give Daddy the feast he deserves this Father’s Day at Irodori Japanese Restaurant! Loosen up your belt as you go all out at this ala carte buffet restaurant, offering the freshest ingredients made into the chicest sushi and hand rolls. Dad can get his sashimi fix here as he savours thick chunks of tuna, salmon and yellowtail. 3. Lao Huo Tang

If you’re looking for a taste of good home brewed soup, there’s no place better than Lao Huo Tang. With nine outlets islandwide, Lao Huo Tang is famed for their traditional Chinese soups. Choose from a plethora of nutritious soups, such as Gingko Nut Pork Tripe Soup, Herbal Black Chicken Soup with Dried Scallop, or Kiam Chye Ark Tng, also known as Salted Vegetable Duck Soup, that are tasty and great for fortifying one’s health. The restaurant also serves many delectable side dishes, such as Spinach with Salted and Century Egg, and Grouper in Lotus Leaf with Special Sauce. You’ll surely need a bowl – or two bowls – of rice!

4. Lim Spring Court

This is for the Northernites out there! If you reside in the north of Singapore (think Yishun, Khatib, Woodlands), and don’t really want to travel to town for a great Father’s Day meal, Lim Spring Court is your best bet. Located at the Wisteria Mall in Yishun, the restaurant serves up homely, comfort Chinese cuisine at pocket-friendly prices.

Their signature dish, the “Gold Medal” Garlic Fish Tail, sees a meaty, deep fried fish tail drenched in their award-winning Gold Medal Garlic Sauce. Sweet, spicy and tangy, this sauce goes great with a bowl of steamed rice!

5. Thai Tanic Live Seafood Hotpot

If you’re looking for a fun activity while enjoying a meal, look no further than Thai Tanic Live Seafood Hotpot! Located along Bukit Pasoh Road, this hotpot restaurant is the first in Singapore to offer diners a unique dining experience – by catching their own seafood for their hotpot!

Whilst Daddy fishes for tiger prawns, flower and mud crabs in the electric blue tanks located beside each table, take a trip to The Ship, which houses a variety of fresh seafood. You will find the likes of clams, mussels, fishes and squids laid out neatly on a bed of crushed ice. Other hotpot essential ingredients, such as vegetables and meats, can also be found at the different ingredient stations.

Thai Tanic Live Seafood Hotpot also offers grilled fish and finger foods like chicken wings, fishcakes and sausages, which are all made to order so you get to munch on piping hot snacks while waiting for your seafood to cook.

6. Niku Katsumata

Treat Daddy to an opulent dinner at Niku Katsumata without burning a hole in your wallet. Specialising in Wagyu beef, the restaurant is famed for its affordable A4 Wagyu Donburi, topped with a choice of ikura (salmon roe), caviar, foie gras or uni (sea urchin). The restaurant uses top quality wagyu beef with high marbling, giving that rich, creamy, buttery and meaty mouthfeel that leaves everyone wanting more.

7. SBCD Korean Tofu House

If your father is a fan of K-dramas, he might have an attraction to Korean cuisine too. SBCD Korean Tofu House offers a plethora of traditional Korean dishes, such as Kimchi Stews, Bulgogi and Bibimbap. However, just as its name suggests, the store specialises in tofu, which is freshly made in-house daily using organic soy beans directly imported from Paju, South Korea.

Get a taste of this wobbly delight in their signature Soontofu Soup, which means soft tofu soup, served bubbling in a hot stone pot. Each bite of fresh silken tofu has a mild nutty taste, which allows the flavours of the soup to permeate your senses. Yummy!

8. The Roof @ Beer Alley


Bowling is a great activity to spend some quality time with your father. Fuel up after a day of bowling at SuperBowl Toa Payoh conveniently located at SAFRA Toa Payoh, which also houses The Roof @ Beef Alley. The Roof serves fuss-free Western delights. Expect the likes of the Smoked Duck Aglio Olio, Fish and Chips and Crabmeat Pizza. If you’re only feeling peckish, the all-day Signature Breakfast Platter is a great option.

9. Tribe (The Art House at Old Parliament)

Take Dad out on a cultural adventure and visit the many museums Singapore has to offer. End off with a trip to The Arts House and grab a meal at Tribe Restaurant, a social enterprise that offers affordable international cuisine.

If you’ve got a whole itinerary lined up this Father’s Day and are looking for a quick and delicious bite in the heart of town, why not pay a visit to Wan Niu Wan? Located in Pasarbella Suntec City, Wan Niu Wan serves up mouth-watering rice bowls at very affordable prices!
