About Ōshige Shokudō X IPPUDO
IPPUDO will be having a special 2-day event, featuring Ōshige Yōhei, the champion of World Ramen Grand Prix 2017 and the ramen dish that he has created and won the championship. Founder of IPPUDO, Kawahara Shigemi, will make a special appearance during the event.

The World Ramen Grand Prix is a contest to recognise outstanding, creative ramen recipes from across the world. More than 450 participants came together and presented their recipes of ramen noodles, soup and toppings using produces that represent Japan. 

Ōshige Yōhei

Ōshige Yōhei
 is currently the head chef of Ōshige Shokudō. The winning Jun Ramen Nanabushi features soup broth made using 7 different types of dehydrated meats, including iwashi (sardine), masaba (mackerel), katsuo (skipjack tuna), fugu (puffer fish), chicken, pork and beef. It is then uniquely extracted through a coffee siphon, resulting in a flavourful broth. The ramen noodles are made of ラー麦 (ramen wheat flour) from Fukuoka prefecture, boasting a delightful chewy texture. It is then topped with special charcoal-grilled chashu, fresh green onion, seaweed, black fungus and umami egg. Singapore will be the only country other than Japan to try this! 

The winning ramen will be the highlight of the 6-course meal offered exclusively at IPPUDO Shaw Centre on 4 and 5 July 2018. The 6-course meal will be priced at $50++ per pax, inclusive of a glass of champagne. Only 100 sets available per day.
